Hive Inspection

Before inspection a hive is important to remember the following:

• What am going to do during this inspection
• Do I have all the necessary equipment 

Typically during an inspection you will be looking for

• Is the queen present and is she laying eggs
• Is the colony developing as expected
• Is there space  for the queen to lay eggs
• Is there spaces for the workers to nectar and pollen
• Is the enough stores to last the colony until the next inspection
• Is there any sign of disease
• Is there any signs of the colony getting ready to swarm

Remember after each inspection update your records of what found and did.
